Beauty and the Beast
Some people like to doubt the love between Belle and the Beast. A unique set of circumstances cause unpredictable effects for the couple.
We’re made aware of the castle’s curse as soon as we step into it with Belle.
“You’re going to offer her a room?!”
“We have to try, unless you want to stay antiques for the rest of your life.” We hear Cogsworth and Lumiere say to each other.
The ways of the castle frustrate Belle and she tries to escape.
On route, she meets ferocious animals in the forest.
In the story, we meet a turning point.
The Beast runs after her, and tries to stop her from leaving. The wild pack of animals go after him now, which ends in physical defeat. Her mind may be telling her to make her final exit, but her conscience tells her otherwise.
After the attack, the Beast undergoes his physical healing under Belle’s care. Through their conversations they find a mutual love in storytelling. It opens the door to a library of curiousity and humor.
The Beast gives Belle the freedom to leave, and she does. There’s no certainty here except for her love for her father and her love for the Beast.
What I love about the story is that it shows what goes into romance besides the surface level connection. A little bit of nerves and a little bit of risk taking action that leads to new beginnings within the individual self. And to discover something within the other which may surprise you.
